ABOUT
A B2C eSports Edtech Platform helping amateurs to become pro gamers, ands pros make a living from what they are passionate about. It offers a gamified educational itinerary including leveled pills, missions and 1to1 classes with progamers.
The Problem: the challenge of bridging the skill gap between amateur and professional gamers, particularly in competitive games, is a common issue. Despite the availability of gameplay streaming platforms, there is a lack of dedicated educational resources, especially for Spanish-speaking audiences. Additionally, many professional gamers face early retirement with limited opportunities to leverage their expertise.
MVP
2021
MVP
The MVP: was developed by integrating a WordPress Elementor Pro landing page with a SaaS-based marketplace (Sharetribe). The initial supply side was established by onboarding popular eSports pro gamers onto the platform. To drive demand, the website was optimized with game-specific landing pages and supported by targeted Google SEM and Facebook Ads campaigns. A Zendesk chatbot was also integrated to enhance user engagement and collect real-time feedback. The MVP was validated with the first customers completing paid 1-to-1 classes.

FINAL PRODUCT
2023
The Final Product: Following MVP validation, I sought support from Demium Startups for further development. We formed a team and transitioned from a pay-per-use model to a subscription-based platform. The platform was re-engineered into a self-developed solution featuring a gamified educational pathway with unlockable content, tasks, and 1-to-1 classes. Future iterations aimed to enhance engagement by introducing features such as wiper coins for discounts and tournament access, as well as integrating machine learning into educational pills display.
FINAL PRODUCT
2023
The Outcomes: the product secured over 500 subscriptions, delivered 300+ 1-to-1 classes, and achieved a 50% retention rate in its first year. It ranked in the top three on Google for key eSports-related terms. The platform received the Demium Startups award, raised €170k in pre-seed funding by Demium and Telefónica Wayra, secured an ENISA loan, and was recognized as one of the top 100 startups of 2021 by El Referente.
